Footwear

For your safety and comfort we required that all students wear shoes when training indoors or outdoors.

Shoes should be light and with a flat sole and without a built up heel. Canvas sneakers are perfect.

See an example to the right (children, adults), but many brands are available. We don’t currently offer footwear for sale.

Specialist footwear (sometimes at similar prices) can be found at the well known Martial Arts stockists such as Blitz.

Sticks

Short rattan (Wikipedia) sticks are used singly or in pairs in both Kung Fu and Tai Chi sets. These can often be found under the name ‘Escrima’ sticks (after the national martial art of the Philippines - also known as Kali or Arnis (Wikipedia)).

We have limited supplies of these sticks priced at £10 each (below)

We have also identified several suppliers that carry sticks, although it seems stock may be constrained.

Some suppliers will offer sticks in different diameters and weights. Thinner, lighter sticks may suit children and smaller adults.
